Kenneth Demerson started KD’s Janitorial Service June 2003 after working in the janitorial field for 25 years. The company has worked and completed projects as large as the Rick Husband Airport in Amarillo TX, TX Dot offices in Amarillo and surrounding counties and as small as the San Antonio Fire Department Fleet Maintenance. Kenneth and his wife Deborah moved to the Hill Country in 2009 and then on to San Antonio in 2013 to establish the business and grow KD’s Janitorial in South Texas.
Although KD’s is a small company we deliver large services, our staff is dedicated to every job 100%. The services we provide includes servicing, cleaning, and supplying restrooms, cleaning building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, gathering and empty trash. We pride our work and give every one of our customer the same dedication and service by treating them like they are our only customer. The key to our success is the fact that we have the knowledge and understanding that no two customers are the same nor do they have the same need. Kenneth and Deborah routinely make visits to the site to ensure the customer is satisfied with the services being provided, this is part of our Corrective and Preventative Action Program. Our Corrective and Preventative Action is based on the feedback from customers, employee feedback, surveys, and audits performed by our management team. It is designed to drive our commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
KD’s employees are valuable to the company, therefore it is important to recognize their efforts, and we consistently do so through activities such as: announcements and recognition in our monthly meeting, giving out gift cards for family dinners, gas etc., encourage growth of staff through training and job promotions. Deborah worked in corporate America for many years and learned that if an employee is unhappy with the company they will not give 100%. Leaving the corporate world to work with her husband and act as General Manager, she is able to implement what she has learned into making KD’s a success.
KD’s uses Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to continually assess the effectiveness of our processes the items we assess are employee turnover rate, number of complaints (where applicable) and inspection scores by Site, Customer, Supervisor, Employee and response times on regular customer requests and on emergencies. This is one of the keys to KD`s sustained success its willingness to challenge current processes and a commitment to adopt practices that improve customer satisfaction.
